Kanak Bhawan is a temple in Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya, which is in the north-east of Ramkot. It is one of the most famous temples of Ayodhya. It is believed that this palace was gifted by Kaikeyi, immediately after the marriage of Rama with Sita and hence, it is their personal palace.

Dashrath Mahal is a beautiful palace in the heart of Ayodhya, the very place where Lord Ram and his family lived most of their life. Inside the mahal, there is a shrine of Lord Rama, Lakshman, and Devi Sita. These deities symbolise dharma, moral integrity and devotion that we learn about through Ramayan. Their presence in this historic monument brings together the divine and legendary heritage of Ayodhya’s spiritual and historical landscape. King Dashrath was Lord Ram’s father and the founder of Ayodhya. This magnificent palace was home to the legacy of King Dashrath as a king and Lord Rama as a child and youngster. One can find saffron-clothed monks singing and reciting mantras inside the mahal. The Dashrath Bhavan is decorated well during celebrations and festivals like Ram Vivah, Diwali, Shravan Mela and Ram Navami.
