We will start our journey from Lake Sevan which is the largest freshwater and the highest altitude lakes in the world. It is often called the Jewel of Armenia.
Next we will climb up the stairs to the historic Sevanavank Monastery, which was founded in 9th century. From the above we will have a stunning view to the lake. This place is very much loved by history and photography enthusiasts.
We will head to the green forests of Dilijan National Park, which is also known as a charming spa town. It's quite often referred to as Armenian Switzerland. We will walk through the Old Town of Dilijan, which is famous for its traditional architecture, local handicrafts, and peaceful atmosphere.
Haghartsin Monastery is a hidden gem nestled in the lush forests of Dilijan National Park. Built between the 10th and 13th centuries, this medieval complex features stunning Armenian architecture with intricate stone carvings and majestic domes. Surrounded by rolling green hills, it exudes a mystical, peaceful atmosphere, making it a perfect retreat for history lovers and spiritual seekers. Legend has it that the monastery’s name, meaning "Dance of the Eagles," comes from eagles seen soaring above it during its construction.
