Sevanavank is a historic monastery perched on a peninsula overlooking Lake Sevan. Originally built in the 9th century by Princess Mariam of the Bagratuni dynasty, it was once a retreat for monks seeking solitude. The monastery’s black tuff stone churches—Surp Arakelots and Surp Astvatsatsin—stand against the backdrop of the shimmering blue lake, creating a breathtaking view.
