We will collect you from your hotel in Arusha, and after a 2-hour drive, you’ll arrive at Tarangire National Park. The day will consist of extensive game drives across the park. Tarangire boasts the highest density of elephants in northern Tanzania, with herds of up to 300 animals. The Tarangire River, which has water year-round, becomes a gathering point during the dry season (July to October), where animals such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, and various antelope and gazelles can be seen. With some luck, you may even spot a python! Tarangire is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 550 species, including the Masai Ostrich, the world’s largest bird.
Around lunchtime, you’ll stop at a suitable picnic spot before more afternoon game drives. Wildlife watching continues until sunset, after which you will be taken back to your hotel in Arusha, concluding an unforgettable day in one of Tanzania's most stunning parks.
