The ancient capital Hoa Lu is a destination which will take you back to the medieval eras in Vietnams past. This region called Ninh Binh is known for its landscape and outstanding natural beauty, with huge limestone rocks emerging from the ground surrounded by paddy fields. This is why Hoa Lu & Tam Coc are considered as Halong bay on land, and whose splendour is often said to surpass that of Halong bay.
After lunch, embark for a sampan boat trip to visit Tam Coc to see the beauty of the geological formations. With Halong bay type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious caves, as well as countryside landscape like peaceful streams, rice paddies and deserted green fields, Tam Coc has earned the reputation of being called ‘Halong on Land.
After disembarking it is the two-wheel option, as you cycle for an hour, about 5km on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops in Tam Coc - Bich Dong. A chance to admire nature at a different pace and meet the locals in their environment.
