Amer, a historic town just 11 km from the bustling city center, offers a tranquil retreat into India’s glorious past. Celebrated for its stunning historical sites, the town boasts iconic yellow havelis, ancient temples, and exquisitely preserved heritage buildings, making it a true treasure trove of architectural and cultural splendor.

The Panna Meena Ka Kund, was constructed in the 16th century to collect monsoon rains, ensuring a steady water supply for Jaipur during dry periods.

Its intricate geometric staircases were designed to allow access to water at any level of the pool.

Though it no longer serves its original purpose, the stepwell has become a popular tourist attraction. However, climbing the stairs is now prohibited, with guards stationed nearby to enforce the rules.
