We offer a tour in beautiful fully clear Kayaks for an optimal view and experience of the bioluminescence of the bay and it’s ecosystem.
The experience begins at our meeting point where guests check in, meet their guide, and receive a brief safety orientation and overview of the tour. Once everyone is ready, guests board our transportation for a short scenic drive to Mosquito Bay. The drive takes about 10 minutes and travels along rustic terrain, offering beautiful views of Vieques at night with minimal light pollution and early glimpses of the star-filled sky.
Upon arrival at the bay, guests enter the water by kayak and begin the guided bioluminescent tour. You will spend approximately 55 minutes kayaking on the water, where every paddle stroke lights up the bay with glowing bioluminescence. Guides share information about the ecosystem, the microorganisms that create the glow, and the natural history of Mosquito Bay while allowing plenty of time to enjoy the magical surroundings.
After the kayaking portion, guests return to shore and are transported back to the meeting point, completing the experience.
This is the official meeting point for our BioBay and Stargazing tours. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in and meet our team. Tours depart exactly on time and late arrivals may miss the tour. Please complete your waiver online before arrival or during check-in if needed.
