Detailed itinerary

1

The region of Xigia has beautiful beaches and water to swim but what makes it unique is that here you have a natural sulphur deposit seeping from the ground. The sulphur is safe to swim in and even has healing properties. At this location your captain will drop the anchor close to the shore allowing you to swim to the beach. Do not worry if you do not want to swim you can enjoy the scenery and relax or sunbath on the boat with a drink.

2
Stop 2

The Blue Caves’ are a natural rock formation that has been worn down over thousands of years, creating a spectacular tunnel that cuts through the cliff. With your small boat, you will be able to sail through the tunnel and enter the caves. Close by to the caves your captain will find a safe and quiet place to dock the boat allowing you time to swim, play and enjoy the scenery.

3

The Shipwreck is possibly the most famous beach in the world. Not only is it famous for ‘Panagiotis’ the old smuggling boat that washed ashore here one stormy night many years ago. But also for its gold sandy beach, clear clean water that’s been turned a unique electric blue colour due to the water mixing with the limestone rock. The beach is surrounded by high cliffs reaching over 100 meters high topped with lush green trees adding to its splendour. Your captain will put the nose of the boat onto the beach for you to disembark and explore the beach. Some days the coast guard forbids people to disembark onto the beach. If this happens your captain will sail the boat within meters of the beach allowing you to take the perfect holiday photos without anyone insight. If you can not get onto the shipwreck beach that day your captain will take you to another beach just around the corner to swim and enjoy the beach there.

4

Porto Vromi is a beautiful little port situated on the west coast of Zakynthos island. It has a unique & natural rock feature called 'Poseidons face' a side profile of a face claimed to be of the famous god of the sea 'Poseidon.

5
Stop 5

Porto Limnionas is a cove that cuts into the land on the north west of Zakynthos. It is famous for its clear and a calm water making this and many other coves on the west coast the perfect place to stop and swim.

6

Another small cove with beautiful calm water to swim.

7

A strange and interesting rock formation that is very popular with adventurous who like to swim and dive off the rocks.

8

Mizithres, a natural rock formation rising like two giant shark fins from the sea. The electric white-blue water, created by the surrounding sandstone, is an Instagrammer’s dream. Mizithres is one of the most famous views on Zakynthos only second to the shipwreck. Here we will stop to enjoy the two beautiful white sandy beaches and amazing scenery. The daredevils can swim through a tiny tunnel in the rock connecting the two beaches.

9

Keri caves is a large, long coastline with tall cliffs and a large network of caves only accessible by boat. There are many caves that the boat can go into and explore as well as many tall arches that the boat can sail through. The scenery here is stunning and it is another place where the captain will stop so you can swim in the clear blue water.

10

Marathonisi island is not only called turtle island because it lays host to many turtle nests throughout the summer but also because the island is shaped like a giant turtle. This beautiful island has many little coves and caves to explore and swim in but also a beautiful sandy beach where you can swim, sunbath or stretch your legs walking down the golden sandy beach. In this area you'll also have time for turtle spotting.

11

After leaving turtle island behind you sail towards a more secretive, remote and untouched island known as Pelouzo Island in the region of Vasilikos. This island still has the remains of an old monastery dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
Passing Pelouzo Island we sail to the most southern tip of Zakynthos island past the unspoilt Gerakas turtle nesting beach and up the east coast of the mountainous forest peninsula of Vasilikos.
