King Robert the Bruce granted the lands of Leys to the Burnett family in 1323: the ancient Horn of Leys, which can be seen today in the Great Hall, marks his gift.
Glen Garioch distillery (pronounced "Geery" in the Doric dialect of Aberdeen) is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It is one of the oldest whisky distilleries in Scotland, dating back to 1797.
