Ranakpur Jain Temple, a wonderful example of 15th century Indian architecture, is located in Ranakpur village of Rajasthan. This temple is dedicated to Lord Adinath (Rishabhnath), the first Tirthankara of Jainism. And it was built under the patronage of Rana Kumbha, the then ruler of Mewar. The construction of the temple began in the 15th century (1446 Vikram Samvat) and took more than 50 years to complete. This temple is famous for its intricate white marble carvings, innumerable pillars (reportedly 1444, each unique) and its overall design including domes and halls. Tourists from all over the country and abroad come here to see the Ranakpur Jain Temple
