The Statue of Unity, the highest monument in the world at 182 meters, honors Sardar Patel, who brought together more than 500 princely kingdoms to form the Union of India. This renowned monument took three and a half years to create, involving 300 engineers and 3000 workers. The Statue of Unity, which was designed by the renowned artist Ram V. Sutar, was constructed using 1,700 metric tons of bronze, 70,000 tons of cement, 18,500 tons of reinforcement steel, and 6,000 tons of structural steel. The 30 second ride leads to a panoramic views of the Sardar Sarovar Dam, its reservoir, the Satpura and Vindhya mountains.
