The Dien Bien Phu Martyrs' Cemetery, opened in 1958, honors over 6,000 soldiers who sacrificed their lives against French colonialism. Located in the city center, it is a solemn place to pay tribute and reflect on the patriotism and resilience of the Vietnamese people.

A1 Hill, also called C1 Hill, is a key historical site in Dien Bien Phu where fierce battles took place during the struggle against French colonialism. Captured by the Viet Minh in May 1954, it marked a turning point in the campaign. Today, it serves as a memorial and tourist site with scenic views and a solemn atmosphere.

Next, visit the De Castries Bunker, the former command center of French General Henri de Castries during the Indochina War.
