At 8:50 am, our guide English Speaking guide will meet you in front of Lyon Office de Tourisme building located on Bellecour Square (50 m opposite Le Royal Hotel). After a short walk, participants will get on the 8 seaters minivan to begin the excursion.
After a 40 min journey heading north from Lyon, take the magnificent wine route and discover the northern part of Beaujolais region with its breathtaking landscapes and granite terroirs. Stop at Moulin-à-vent to learn about Gamay grape and take some photos.
Continue with Macon vineyards birthplace of Chardonnay grape varietal and pass several small picturesque villages built in ocher stone: Saint Véran, Leynes, Fuissé, etc.
At 10:45 a.m., open the door to a family wine estate. Discover its history and learn about wine-making and the art of aging in barrels.
Then taste several white and red wines including the famous Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. Feel all the finesse & freshness of these perfectly balanced wines with a slight oak finish.
Follow the tour with a stop at Solutré Roch (493 m), one of nature's masterpieces, a symbol of Southern Burgundy.
