Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

We begin in Preseren Square, the beating heart of the city. We learn basic history of Ljubljana before we explore the different sights that are located at the square.

2

We learn about France Preseren, a truly colorful figure whose poetry inspired the nation during the Romantic days of the 19th Century. Find out why he was no Romeo and why we consider him to be our national poet.

3
Stop 3

Find out about our most famous architect, Jože Plečnik, whose works are considered a UNESCO heritage site, and who is responsible for Ljubljana looking as it does today, and why we have a Triple Bridge in the center

4

Ljubljana's Colonade is one of Plečnik's most amazing creations. Its an enormous structure that holds many secrets and surprises.

5

Also known as the love-lock bridge, Ljubljana's most recent bridge is a modern spectacle that does not resemble its original plans. Find out why.

6
Stop 6

Despite having dragons on it, it wasnt originally called the Dragons Bridge. Find out why.

7

The best place in town for local produce

8

It might be small in comparison with the larger cathedrals in neighboring countries, but it does have amazing history and is the pride of Slovenia's Baroque architecture.

9

The central square of medieval Ljubljana. Its gotta have some amazing stories.

10

Ljubljana's most famous Baroque artwork stands in Town Square. Does it look familiar?

11

This architecturally confused building is where city politics have been taking place for over 500 years.

12
Stop 12

Ljubljana's old Medieval town is one of the sweetest around. Cant miss it. Actually, most of the sites we see on-tour are in the Old Town, so saying its 30 minutes is not quite right.

13
Stop 13

One of Ljubljana's favorite meeting points, this former Medieval shopping mall has a few stories to tell.

14
Stop 14

Abound with symbolism and hidden meanings, this is one of Plečnik's most famous creations. It has some amazing stories to share, in fact too many for a single tour

15
Stop 15

Ljubljana's largest square is also its most political. It is the location of many historical events that shaped Slovenia and Europe as a whole.
