Enjoy an early morning pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, then leave the city behind as you head toward the Atlas Mountains. The scenery quickly changes from busy streets to palm groves, villages, and open landscapes, with the mountains slowly rising on the horizon.
After about 45 minutes on the road, we stop for a local experience at a women’s argan oil cooperative, where you’ll learn about traditional production methods and enjoy a simple, authentic Moroccan brunch.
Once in Imlil, you’ll meet your local mountain guide and set off on a 4-hour hike to the summit of Talamrout. The walk is steady and rewarding, passing through Berber villages, walnut trees, and terraced fields. At the top, you’ll enjoy a well-earned break with fresh mountain air and wide views over the High Atlas — a genuine, human experience that makes every step worth it.
After the hike, enjoy a warm lunch in a Berber family’s home. You’ll be served a traditional homemade tagine, prepared with local ingredients and shared in a welcoming, family atmosphere — a simple and authentic moment of mountain life.
After lunch, walk back down to the village center, meet your driver, and relax on the journey back to Marrakech, carrying with you the memories of the Atlas Mountains.
