How to use WOWPASS?
Payment
- As Debit Card: Pay by inserting your card into the reader. Pay anywhere cards are accepted.
- As Transit Card (Tmoney): Tap your card on the to pay. Use it on subways, buses, and taxis.

Top-up / Cash Out / Transfer
- WOWPASS Balance Top-up: Top up via app (credit card / mobile pay) or via WOWPASS machines with foreign cash
or with Korean Won (KRW). 16 currencies accepted.
- Transit Balance Top-up: Top up via app (WOWPASS balance) or at subway stations, convenience stores (KRW cash).
- Balance Cash Out: Cash out your balance in KRW cash from a WOWPASS machine. (except ICN Airport machines)
- Balance Transfer (Send money to other users or to a Korean bank accounts via WOWPASS app.)

Step 1. Upon arriving in Korea, use the app to find your nearest WOWPASS machine. (To check via the WOWPASS app by clicking on the top right arrow on the map on the app's home screen)
Step 2: Select language.
Step 3: Select 'WOWPASS Card'.
Step 4. Select 'Get a New Card'
Step 5. Select 'Issue via Code'.
Step 6. Enter the 6-digit voucher code and check 'I agree with the collection/use of personal information'.
Step 7. Insert the cash amount to top up.
Step 8. Get your card from the machine and insert once to activate it.
Step 9. Success! Card has been issued.
