start the drive to Limuru arriving at 11AM and over a cup of tea or coffee the history of the farm and process of making tea is informally explained, followed by an opportunity to see tea in the field. The gardens around the home are lovely and well worth a stroll, especially to catch glimpses of the resident colobus monkeys! Also included in the tour is a walk through the indigenous forest that is still preserved. The guide is highly entertaining and comical! Your stay here includes a relaxed lunch. Again most of the produce is locally sourced and when making reservations through inform them of any dietary requirements! Lunch is a 3 course affair with complementary beverages - wine, beers, sherry, soft drinks and of course teas and coffee! Kiambethu's lunch is a great meal with homemade butter, rolls, and soup. Then salad, maize (white corn) and cheese, Swiss steak, followed by fruit and homemade ice cream. The veggie options served is fantastic.
