Picked up a customer from Auckland CBD and began the journey toward Rotorua. First stop was Kuirau Park, where the customer enjoyed walking around the natural geothermal pools, steaming vents, and the relaxing warm foot baths.
Next, we visited Mitai Māori Village, where the customer experienced Māori culture through traditional performances, storytelling, and learning about local customs and history, along with a guided walk through the village area.
After that, we headed to Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, exploring colourful geothermal pools, bubbling mud, steaming landscapes, and famous sights like the Champagne Pool while walking along well-marked trails.
We then continued to the Redwood Treewalk, enjoying a relaxing walk among tall redwood trees, surrounded by nature and fresh forest air.
If time allowed, we finished the tour with a visit to Blue Spring, where we admired the crystal-clear water, took photos, and enjoyed the calm natural surroundings before returning.
Kuirau Park is free to visit and located within an easy walk from the city center.

Blue Spring is famous for its incredibly pure, clear blue water that filters through volcanic rock for up to 100 years, supplying a large portion of NZ's bottled water and Putāruru's drinking supply, accessible via the scenic Te Waihou Walkway with its stunning views and constant 11°C water, though swimming is now prohibited. This is optional if we have some extra time.
