Sanahin Monastery is a 10th-century Armenian monastic complex located in the village of Sanahin, near Alaverdi in Armenia's Lori Province. Established between 928 and 944, it became a prominent center of learning, renowned for its school of illuminators and calligraphers. The complex includes several churches, a scriptorium, a library, and a bell tower, all exemplifying Armenian medieval architecture. In 1996, Sanahin, along with nearby Haghpat Monastery, was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its outstanding universal value.

The Mikoyan Brothers Museum, located in Sanahin village near Alaverdi, Armenia, honors two prominent Soviet Armenian figures: Anastas Mikoyan, a long-serving Soviet statesman, and his brother Artem Mikoyan, co-designer of the MiG fighter jets. Established in 1982, the museum features personal artifacts, photographs, and documents detailing their lives and contributions.
