Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Comércio Square: This Square was the centerpiece of the reconstruction that took place after the earthquake of 1755 which has reduced Lisbon to rubble. In a privilege location, facing the river, this is the most popular square in Lisbon and one of the largest in Europe.

2
Stop 2

In Alfama you’ll experience the real Lisbon, with its charismatic (and intense) people, cats sleeping on windowsills, twisting streets and blind alleyways where the roofs almost touch each other. Alfama is the oldest district in Lisbon and Portugal’s own musical genre – FADO – can be heard almost everywhere in this neighborhood.

3
Stop 3

See Lisbon Downtown , Tgaus River from one of the highest hills of Lisbon.

4

After a moment to relax at the top of the viewpoint we’ll start going down the hill to salute Mouraria, Lisbon’s most multiethnic neighborhood. Here you may find all types of restaurants because about a fifth of the population is from Asia, mainly from China, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan.

5
Stop 5

Going up the hill until Graça you’ll find breathtaking panoramic views at the famous belvedere “Senhora do Monte”.

6
Stop 6

Lisbon’s Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa): Also known as the Church of Santa Maria Maior, this is one of the oldest monuments in the city, as it was built in the XII century. After several excavations in the Gothic cloister it was revealed archaeological remains dating back almost 3,000 years, from the Iron Age to the Middle Ages. A sacred place not to be missed.

7
Stop 7

This square was once Lisbon’s main marketplace. It was home to a covered market, which was built in 1885 and demolished in the 1950s. In its place, a bronze equestrian statue of King João I was erected.
