We present you a tour that passes through two neighborhoods of Rome, Monteverde Vecchio and Trastevere, at the slow pace of their steps.
We will tell you the stories of the young teenagers who walked the same streets that we will walk together, during the Second World War. Every alley, every panorama, every fountain will tell us about the life of those who live and have lived there.
We will accompany you on a culinary experience among the flavors of tradition.
Valentina and Alessandra who will accompany you will know how to mix the group and transform the tour into a memory full of emotions.
We will get to know Rome and its neighborhoods through a walk at the slow pace of our steps, to savor the sensations, colors and sounds of the Eternal City. We will see it from a new perspective to slowly get in tune with the neighborhood and its inhabitants. We will start from the belvedere under the Gianicolo Lighthouse, we will admire Rome from above and then continue towards Piazza Garibaldi.
Continuing the walk along Via Garibaldi you will arrive at the Fontanone, built as the final part of the Trajan Aqueduct between 1610 and 1614 by Pope Paul V.
We will then enter Villa Sciarra, a public park that presents a very rich variety of Mediterranean flora with over 12 tree species as well as a very particular sculptural decoration.
Exotic plants mix with those typical of the Mediterranean scrub as the last owner, the very rich Henriette Tower, wife of George Whurt, wanted by personalising her gardens.
Lunch in a Typical Roman Trattoria to taste typical dishes of the Roman culinary tradition.
We will end the tour with a delicious ice cream. Then we will say goodbye keeping in our hearts the memory of the experience lived together.
From San Pietro you have to take Borgo di Santo Spirito and arrive at Via di Porta Cavalleggeri. After crossing the road you will find yourself in front of the Sant'Onofrio climb from which you will arrive at the Gianicolo walk. You will find the Lighthouse by going up on the left.
