Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

After being picked up in the morning from your hotel or riad in Marrakech by your driver, you will join the group and begin your scenic journey to the Ourika Valley. The valley, located at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, offers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. This area is known for its lush landscapes, traditional Berber culture, and breathtaking natural beauty.

Your first stop will come after about 40 minutes of driving, where you’ll pause at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the valley. This stunning location provides the perfect opportunity for photos, as you'll enjoy sweeping views of the rolling hills, terraced fields, and the Atlas Mountains in the distance. It’s a great way to capture the beauty of the region before continuing on your journey.

2

After your scenic stop for pictures at the panoramic viewpoint, you will continue your journey deeper into the Ourika Valley. Your next stop will be at a traditional Berber family home, where you'll have the unique opportunity to experience the authentic lifestyle of the local people. Here, you will learn about the traditional ways of cooking, living, and working in this beautiful valley.

A number of family members will share their knowledge with you, showing you how they prepare and serve the famous Berber mint tea. You'll be invited to participate in the tea-making process, giving you a hands-on experience of this important cultural tradition. It's a fun and interactive way to connect with the local culture while enjoying the warmth and hospitality of the Berber family.

3

After your visit and cultural exchange with the Berber family, you’ll continue your journey through the valley, immersing yourself in the stunning landscapes of the Ourika Valley. As you make your way toward the famous Setti Fatma Waterfalls, your next stop will be at a local women's cooperative. Here, you’ll discover the fascinating process of making argan oil, a unique product that has been used for centuries for its cosmetic and culinary properties.

At the cooperative, you’ll learn how the women extract the oil from the nuts of the argan tree and how it’s used for everything from skincare to cooking. You’ll also have the chance to browse beautiful handmade handicrafts, including jewelry, scarves, and other traditional Moroccan products. This stop offers a wonderful opportunity to support the local women and see how they earn a living through their craft.

4

After your visit to the women’s cooperative, continue your journey toward the Setti Fatma Waterfalls. Upon arrival, you’ll meet a local guide who will take you on a scenic hike through lush greenery, where you may spot the Barbary macaque monkeys, native to Morocco. The hike offers stunning views of the valley, and you’ll reach the base of the waterfall, surrounded by natural beauty.

After the hike, enjoy a relaxing lunch at a riverside restaurant, where you can savor traditional Moroccan dishes like tagine or couscous while listening to the soothing sounds of the river.

In the afternoon, you’ll meet your driver and head back to Marrakech, arriving in the evening after a day full of adventure and culture.
