About this experience

The Uffizi Gallery is an absolute must-see when visiting Florence. Built in 1560 and considered the oldest museum in the world, it was designed by the renowned Renaissance architect Giorgio Vasari. The Grand Duke of Tuscany, Cosimo I de' Medici, decided to restore the Medici family's authority by eliminating most of their rivals, offering them an "observation" role. The name "Uffizi" reflects this exact intention.

After Cosimo I's death, his sons lost interest in politics. His eldest son, Francesco I, brought his private art collection to the building, transforming the Uffizi into his personal museum.

On this tour, you will quickly learn about the history of some of the most precious masterpieces preserved in Florence. At the end of the visit, take a break at the cafe on the Uffizi Gallery's terrace. Enjoy the splendid view of the city, relax, and take the opportunity to capture some memorable photos.
