About this experience
The turtle tour in Tortuguero National Park takes place in the months of July to October, this tour is really magical where you can live the experience of seeing a marine species outside of its natural habitation and really very close, This tour takes place at night and is forbidden the lanterns only the guide will use a red light to be able to see the turtle, it is forbidden photographs and videos so this makes it even more interesting since we are helping the conservation of this beautiful species and requires us to open well eyes and mind to keep in our memory this unique experience

Stop 1
For this tour it is very necessary that you communicate with us on the day you make the tour, since for this tour there are 2 times for the observation of the turtle, which are from 8pm-10pm and from 10pm-12pm. A national park manager is responsible for assigning the schedules and sector to each guide this to avoid crowding on the beach.
For this reason, on the day of the tour around 5:30pm we will contact you to inform you of the schedule at which the tour will take place and what times they will meet with the guide.

Stop 2
Our certified guide will meet you at the Almond Dock in Tortuguero where you must be in dark clothing (NOT white) and closed shoes, there you will be informed which sector will go for the observation of the turtle.
There are 5 sectors for turtle watching, two of them within the national park can be reached by walking, and three in public area of which one of them is reached by walking and the other two will need a taxi boat.

Stop 3
After the guide informs them where they will go, they will start walking if the assigned sector is near the village or board a taxi boat if the sector is far from the village. Upon arrival at the assigned sector the guide will explain the dynamics of the tour and talk about the Sea Turtles starting the tour, in which they will have 2 hours of time to observe the turtle in one of the processes allowed by the National Park that are the following Spawning (laying eggs), capping or Camouflage the nest, we can see the three processes or some of them since this is a natural event and occurs when the turtle this list.
