It houses around 120,000 items, with only a portion on display. As the largest museum in Africa, it occupies a building constructed in 1901. Among its most famous treasures is the gold burial mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, which is considered one of the most iconic works of art and a symbol of ancient Egypt.

Giza Necropolis - The Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and its companion pyramid complexes, as well as the Great Sphinx, are all located in Egypt in the Giza pyramid complex (also called the Giza necropolis). They were created in Egypt between 2600 and 2500 BCE, under the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom. In addition to multiple temples and cemeteries, there are also the ruins of a workers' hamlet.
