Opened in 2014, the museum features modern architecture and displays thousands of artifacts, images, and documents that vividly illustrate the heroic wartime period. It stands as a powerful symbol of national pride and an essential stop for understanding Vietnam’s history and the sacrifices made for independence.

The Dien Bien Phu Martyrs' Cemetery, located in the city center, is a solemn memorial honoring over 6,000 soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the resistance against French colonialism. Established in 1958, it represents the unity of heroes from across Vietnam and stands as a place of remembrance, gratitude, and national pride.

A1 Hill (C1 Hill) is one of the most important battlefields of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, where decisive fighting led to a major victory for the Viet Minh in May 1954. Today, it stands as a memorial site, offering visitors insight into Vietnam’s wartime history in a solemn and scenic setting.

Then continue to visit De Castries Bunker, the former command headquarters of French General Henri de Castries during the Indochina War, marking the final stronghold of the French forces in Dien Bien Phu.

Pha Khoang Lake, located about 15 km from Dien Bien Phu city, is a peaceful natural retreat surrounded by green hills and ethnic minority villages. Visitors can relax, enjoy the scenic views, take photos, and experience the tranquil atmosphere of this picturesque area.
