Exploring Bunbury on foot is the perfect way to soak in all its charm and surprises. Enjoy a light 5K run with story stops and golden views across the Leschenault Inlet and Koombana Bay. Hear all about the fascinating history of some key locations from your local guide and finish with evening refreshments at The Parade Hotel, perched beside the Inlet in a sunset afterglow.
The Leschenault inlet throws up lots for us to admire and reflect upon as we pass it by. It hasn't always been the way you see it today. Hear about the dramatic changes experienced in a small passage of time!
Reopening soon, and hopefully by now, this is an enchanting part of the run as we make our way through these wiley, ancient residents of the Inlet... whilst keeping our feet dry and out of the mud!
Koombana Bay has surprised a few in the past with a history of shipwrecks occurring here - some called it Shipwreck Bay! But the Meaning of 'Koombanah' is much nicer than that. This bay has a knack for shimmering under the morning sun and is where we are most likely to spot some dolphins during the run.
