Otranto: Capo d'Otranto, or Punta Palascìa, located in the municipal area of Otranto, is the easternmost point of Italy. According to nautical conventions, this place is the separation point between the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Sea. It is the municipality with the lowest population density in the province of Lecce.

Gallipoli: Gallipoli is a town on the Apulian coast. The historic center, located on an offshore island, is home to places of worship such as the Cathedral of Sant'Agata, with its richly decorated facade. Not far away, the Church of Santa Maria della Purità has a majolica floor

The Otranto Mosaic covers the floor of the three naves of the cathedral of Santa Maria Annunziata in the Apulian city, and was executed by the monk Pantaleone on commission from the bishop of Otranto, between 1163 and 1165.

For the work the local builders Francesco Bischettimi and Scipione Lachibari were called, who followed the design of the entire factory created by Giovan Bernandino Genuino

The beautiful colors of the lake. In the Salento hinterland, between Otranto and the area surrounding the renowned lighthouse of Punta Palascia, near Monte Sant'Angelo is the Otranto Bauxite Quarry.
