The standard basket is a fun and easy moped to ride. With a low center of gravity it is best for first time riders and experienced riders looking for a smooth ride around Honolulu. It's our most popular moped rental available.
Standard Basket rentals start at 8:30 and must be returned back to the shop by 5:00 pm.
All drivers must be 18 with a valid drivers license and a credit card in their name.
Conveniently walk over to our Waikiki location at 8:30 am, but no later than 10:00 am. Be aware, if you choose to pick your rental up after 10:00 am then there may be a chance that it won’t be available. All moped rentals are due back promptly at 5:00 pm.
All drivers must be 18 with a valid drivers license and credit card. A $200 deposit on a credit card will be required for each moped. Theft and damage coverage will be available for an additional cost at the time of the rental. A prepayment for moped gas of $5 and all applicable tax for all vehicles will be taken at the time of rental.
Just as with car rental companies, Hawaiian Style Rentals does not require you to purchase optional coverages, although those options are available. Personal car insurance typically does not cover you on a moped, so check with your insurance company before renting if you want to be sure.
