Stop 1

Depart from the port of Mykonos and be taken to the ancient harbour of DELOS by local boat. Follow you guide as commence your ½ hour guided walking tour, marvelling at the Agora and further on, the Sacred Way, which leads you to the Temple of Apollo.

Continue on to view the remains of a Hellenistic Quarter with its harbours, waterhouses, luxurious villas such as the House of Cleopatra, the House of the Dolphin, the House of the Mask and the House of Dionyssos, as well as the remains of other notable quarters. Make note of their architecture and mosaic floors, which have amazingly survived over 2,500 years.

End your walking tour by viewing the spectacular Avenue of Lions, where five Naxian marble beasts replicas from the 8th Century BC crouch, vigilant guardians of the Sacred Lake, which stands today dry
