During the morning, you are picked up from your hotel in Cusco to visit the town of Chinchero, a traditional Cusco urban center located at an elevated point with a beautiful view of the valley. The inhabitants of this area preserve the artisan traditions and the inherited knowledge of the Incas. There are also archaeological remains and a beautiful seventeenth-century church. Then, you are transferred to the Living Museum of Yucay. A center Andean traditions interpretations, where demonstrations of the elaboration of textile work, adobe, pottery and silverware are carried out in the same way in which they used to in antiquity. Transfer to Ollantaytambo where you have free time for lunch. After this, visit the town and local archaeological site, inhabited uninterruptedly since Inca times, and climb the iconic fortress, built next to a mountain. At the end of this activity, you are transferred back to your hotel. *Visits on Sundays include a tour to the Chinchero market.

Chinchero is located 28 km from the city of Cusco, at 3,780 meters above sea level. Its main square is an extraordinary fusion between Inca and colonial architecture. Its church is one of the best examples of Cusco religious art, it was built on Inca walls, with an altar decorated in gold leaf in the Baroque style.

Ollantaytambo, a typical example of urban planning of the Incas still inhabited like in the past. You will find here a great archaeological complex called fortress although it was a tambo, a resting and lodging place for long distance travellers.
