The Markale market place was the one of the places where citizens of sarajevo even during the war had a chance to find supplies. There tey could find food and other essentials that were helping them during the though times when Sarajevo was under the LONGEST Siege in the history of modern wars.
Unfortunately, this place was the focus point of the two biggest massacres by the Army of Republika Srpska.

We are going to pass through Sniper Alley - the most dangerous street in Sarajevo where snipers were shooting every day. You are going to see many buildings from the Yugoslav period still affected by the war. There the guide will tell you stories from that time, which will get you closer feeling about the happenings during the war.

The Tunnel served as the only entrance to Sarajevo during the four years long Siege. It was 800 meters long and was the only connection of the surrounded city with the rest of the world. Today it is functioning as a museum.
