About this experience

Book this private tour to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Naigu Stone Forest (乃古石林) and Suogeyi Sani village.

Naigu Stone Forest is classified as a AAAAA-class scenic area but it is much less touristy than the Major and Minor Stone Forest in Stone Forest Scenic Area).

The Suogeyi Village Sani village (所各邑村) is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site for a huge area of limestone landscape. You'll walk on the stone-paved trails through the unique limestone formations and trek up to the peak to get a bird-eye view of the entire site.

We'll bring you to eat like a local in a local Yi restaurant for lunch before heading to the village.

What you'll see

Your tour guide and vehicle will pick you up at your hotel in Kunming City about 9am and then transfer to the Stone Forest, which is located 80 kilometers south-east of Kunming (approx. 2 hours).

The Stone Forest is a fantastic natural phenomenon. Its various shapes of karst landscape were formed due to the millions of years’ movement of the Earth. The Stone Forest area is the home of the Sani people with unique folk customs. Their colorful embroidery and dances, combined with the natural scenery, will surely leave a deep impression on you.

Lunch is arranged at a popular local restaurant. When the tour ends, you will be transferred back to your hotel by 6:00 pm.
