Poipu Beach Surf School teaches people how to surf at the Sheraton Beach in Poipu. It is very safe, with only four people per instructor. Instructors also stay with the surfers for the full lesson, never leaving them alone in the ocean.
Instructors start out with a 10-15 minute land lesson at Poipu Surf (2829 Ala Kalanikaumaka St h151 Poipu, Hi. 96756), educating surfers about the surfboard, how to paddle the board, how to stand up, closing with ocean safety tips. The rest of the lesson is spent in the water catching waves.

NOTE: TRANSPORTATION NOT PROVIDED. After meeting up in surf shop, all guests will need their own transportation to the beach for the lesson! After initial meet up, guests will follow instructor down the road, to the beach that we use for instruction (behind Kiahuna Plantation).
