About this experience

Immerse in the natural wonders of the Peruvian Amazon from the comfort of a unique rainforest lodge, owned by the local indigenous community. Your 3-day eco-tour begins with a 45-minute boat ride from the town of Puerto Maldonado. Enjoy a guide-led rainforest expedition to Tres Chimbadas Lake in the Tambopata National Reserve, watch a riot of colorful birds at Parrot Clay Lick and embark on several easy walks—from the forest floor to the treetops! You’ll see Amazonian wildlife, such as rare river otters, caiman and toucans. Full board and round-trip hotel transfers are included. Numbers are limited to 8 people, ensuring an intimate experience with a small group.

Refunds will not apply under cancellations of air, road, lake, river, or trail travel due to changes in airline schedules, bad weather conditions, civil or government strikes, acts of God or government, acts of terrorism, force majeure (including world or local health conditions), criminal activity, or sickness.
Your luggage is hand-carried at various stages in the trip for a long distance. We strongly recommend you limit your weight to 15 kilos (33 pounds apiece). You can leave your large luggage in our office at Puerto Maldonado.
Drone is not allowed since the fauna is quite active and the forest is quite dense.
Yellow Fever: Vaccination is highly recommended (not mandatory) for travel to Amazonia and the Southern Amazon basin. The shot should be given at least 10 days before your arrival and at 10-year intervals if you decide to stay.
To return to your country of origin, some airlines will require a negative COVID test before boarding. We recommend booking this test online in advance at UNILABS laboratory at the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima.

Kindly notice that as the service is provided in group tours, you must arrive at a proper time. Please book the first flights from Lima or Cusco to Puerto Maldonado that leave before noon and for the flights from Puerto Maldonado to Lima flights that leave after noon. If at the end of your program you decide to stay in Puerto Maldonado, please send your hotel information so that we know where to drop you off.
