You depart early from Bangkok to Damnoen Saduak. As you get close to the floating market, we park the minibus and take a longtail boat for the final stretch. From your boat, you’ll see how the lush green oasis where you boarded gradually transforms into a lively market. Upon arrival at the market, we disembark.
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market: At this floating market, you’ll find yourself in a different world. With great skill, the Thai navigate their boats filled with all kinds of goods. Some boats even serve freshly prepared noodles—these so-called “boat noodles” are a true delicacy. Be sure to try the delicious sweet yellow mango as well! Stroll around as lively bargaining takes place all around you to reach the right price. Optionally, you can take a boat ride through the market to see the bustling activity on the water up close.
The Maeklong Railway Market: This unique market is located right next to Maeklong train station and the river of the same name. Each day, vendors display their goods along—and even directly on—the railway tracks. When a train approaches, they must quickly pack up their items to keep them safe. Once the train has passed, they cheerfully set everything back up again, as if no train had come through at all.
After the visits, we will enjoy a delicious Thai meal at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we will proceed back to your hotel in Bangkok.
