About this experience

Our journey begins as a Chao Phraya River Express Boat takes you on a relaxing cruise north to the town of Nonthaburi. You take a short stroll in this village where you visit a local market. From here you board a long tail boat bringing us into a canal system unlike those found closer to the city. Peaceful scenes of rural canal life will transport you to a simpler, more innocent time, when the days passed slowly and the worries were few. After an hour, the appearance of rocket boats signals a dramatic change of pace. Instant thrills ensue as high speed manoeuvring through narrow canals will bring out the ‘inner child’ in all. Another long tail boat will bring you to a local restaurant where lunch will be served. Afterwards a transfer back by local transport to your hotel in Bangkok.

What you'll see

Today you will discover the real Thai life by boat. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Bangkok and take you to the Chao Phraya river by local transport, this will take roughly 10-30 minutes depending on where you're staying in the city. You 'll first head into the klongs of Bangkok with a long tail boat for about an hour. After that you'll start seeing the notorious rocket boats appear on the horizon. Time to try them out and speed through the canals for about half an hour. Following the rocket boat ride, lunch wlll be served in a local restaurant. After finishing your meal, enjoy a worry-free local transfer back to your hotel.
