Stop 1

We depart from Glasgow and make our way to Doune Castle, recognized by Outlander fans as Castle Leoch, the residence of Clan MacKenzie. Discover this remarkable 14th-century fortress and envision life in the Highlands as depicted in the series.

Stop 2

Explore Culross, the backdrop for the fictional Cranesmuir. Stroll through the cobbled streets and see Claire’s herb garden. This charming village is a must-see for fans of both history and Outlander.

Stop 3

In Falkland, discover the town that served as 1940s Inverness. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and visit iconic landmarks such as the Bruce Fountain, where Jamie's ghost first appeared in the opening episode of Outlander.

Our next stop is Midhope Castle, known as Lallybroch, Jamie's ancestral home. You can wander the serene estate and take photos of this iconic location. Simply standing before Lallybroch makes you feel like you're part of the show!

It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.

There are days when a castle may be closed for filming or other reasons. The tour will then include Linlithgow Palace in its place as an exterior visit.

Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.

Meeting point

This tour will depart from Buchanan Street Bus Station, Glasgow, from stances 23 - 32 (look out for a blue bus). Meet 15 minutes before departure. Your guide will be there to meet you.
