Our Florence Food Tour is a walking tour in small groups around the old town. The tourist is guided by a Local Expert able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities.
Our tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing Florence culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. Have a full meal in at least 4 stops: you will get the chance to try some of the most iconic dishes of Florence!
Please, note that the tour is always run in English and Italian; other languages upon request.
Special Drink Card: You can have at least 3 alcoholic drinks. You can choose wine, beer or other drinks (ages 18+).
Our food tour offers an overview of the many tasty specialities of the city, moving from selected cured meats and cheeses to different types of pasta, strictly kneaded by hand.
We start with the typical Florencian aperitivo tasting cured meats and local cheeses from Tuscany.
After that, the first dish will be the traditional Potatoes tortelli or the tasty pici. Strictly kneaded by hand in a top-ranking trattoria of Firenze. A must-try!
You cannot leave Florence without having tried the traditional "Pappa al pomodoro" and the "Ribollita". Both dishes from the farmers’ tradition, wisely prepared in the same way for generations, in one of the most typical and lively trattorias of Florence.
And if you weren't full enough, there's also a Florentine street food stop. The delicious schiacciata, a "focaccia" stuffed with local products of the highest quality.
Finally, a dessert to end our tour. Depending on availability and season, we will taste the best gelato in Florence or a typical sweet in a historic pastry shop.
