About this experience

Stop 1

You will be transferred from your Mumbai hotel to Victoria Terminus in your air-conditioned vehicle. Your guided walk will begin F. W. Steven’s gothic masterpiece, the grand Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus also known as the Victoria Terminus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Then walk down the Heritage Mile of Mumbai, while admiring one of the oldest parts of the city reflecting its colonial past. Make your way to the ornate Flora Fountain and soak in the atmosphere of one of the busiest precincts’ of Mumbai.  Next  lies the historic art district of Kala Ghoda with its charming Gothic buildings and numerous art galleries.

Onwards you walk to the Oval Ground where you will see the Old Secretariat, University Library and the Convocation Hall. The High Court building , the old Public Works Department building and the Telegraph Department are close by.

Stop 4

Finally take the Churchgate Street down to Marine Drive to enjoy a fantastic view of the Art Deco Skyline that has become an identity of Mumbai.Next, your guide takes you to Churchgate to watch the famous “dabbawalas” at work collecting hot, home cooked lunches and delivering them to office workers around the city before collecting the empty lunch boxes and returning them to their owners. Dabbawalas work using bicycles and trains. The Dabbawalas system a highly unique, impressive lunch distribution system seen nowhere else.  Peek inside a railway car to observe the many types of lunches being organized for delivery before returning to your hotel in Mumbai.
