Detailed itinerary

Stop 1 Pass by

You will be met and picked up from your hotel.  Your guide will escort you to Agra Fort-Army Gate, the starting point of your cultural walking tour. The powerful fortress of Agra is built of red sandstone. It was the imperial home of the Mughal rulers and now is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

2

Just across the way, we will see the Jama Masjid, known as the “Friday Mosque”.  It is one of the largest mosques in India. The Mosque was built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in 1648 and dedicated to his favorite daughter, Jahanara Begum.

3

Our tour will then take you  past a Paan leaves (Beetel leaves) store and the Kinari Bazaar.  The Kinari bazaar is the best place to find items for wedding ceremonies, including bridal jewelry and wonderfully crafted gold and silver garlands. Just after the hustle and bustle of the Kinari Bazaar, you reach a small lane known as Vaidya Ramdutta Gali. This lane is named for the first Ayurvedic doctor who treated people with herbal medicines. Today his descendants are still practicing healing in the same traditions.
