This is a visit to a rural area in the Palghar district, around 03 Hours distance from Mumbai. This area is stunningly beautiful, especially during monsoon season.
Agriculture is the main occupation in the area. Since there is no irrigation, farming is done the old-fashioned way and crops are primarily rain-fed. The people of the area are tribal farmers, who live simply and frugally.
During this tour, we will drive through the district, enjoy the natural beauty of this area and learn about local life.

You will be picked up early at your central city hotel along with your guide and drive to Palaghat.
Upon arrival, you will walk through some of the local farms and fields. You can participate in agricultural activities.
Rice is cultivated during the monsoon. A second crop of lentils.
We will stop at a village hamlet, where you will be able to enjoy a traditional rustic Maharashtrian meal at one of the homes - (meal cost not included).
The cuisine is authentic and local, with rice and nachni as the staples. The women of the village make excellent papads and pickles.
We will walk around the village and take a look at some community welfare projects. If you are interested, you can go on a bullock-cart ride (please let us know ahead of time, so that we can arrange the cart).
Also visit a local bazaar where people from nearby hamlets come to shop.
Once your tour will be finished, you will be driven back to your hotel within central Mumbai.
We will pick up traveler from their hotels / fixed point within city center.
