The Real Marigold Hotel (known in Australia as The Indian Dream Hotel) is a British travel documentary series created by Twofour Productions and broadcast on BBC One and BBC Two. The show, whose name is based on the film “The Marigold Hotel” follows famous elderly celebrities as they travel around India and experience the culture. In 2017, the show was nominated for a BAFTA in the category of Best Reality and Constructed Factual. Stop 1

The Hawa Mahal, also known as the "Palace of the Winds," is a five-story building that resembles a beehive with its numerous windows and jharokhas. Due to this unique design, there is always a pleasant breeze flowing through the palace, making it an ideal retreat from the scorching heat outside. Its name comes from this natural ventilation system which has been cleverly incorporated into its architecture.

The Jantar Mantar monument of Jaipur, is a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments, built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh. It features the world’s largest stone sundial, and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.It is the largest stone astronomical observatory in the world and this feature makes it, a special destination for a traveler.

Jaipur city which was built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer. Visit the Maharaja's City Palace (apart of which is the home of the erstwhile royal family),

Stop 4

The Jal Mahal, the water palace that is situated in the midst of the beautiful Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur City. Jal Mahal is an exceptional structure of the Rajput culture. The palace and the lake around it were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. A wonderful five storied building built in red sandstone.

Stop 5

The Royal Gaitor Tumbas is a grand tomb that houses the remains of many maharajas, including Pratap Singh, Madho Singh II, and Jai Singh II. Located beneath the Nahargarh Fort in a secluded cove surrounded by desert foothills, this site exudes an air of neglect and undiscovered beauty.

Drive to Nahargarh Fort: stands on the edge of the Aravalli Hills, overlooking the pink city of Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The view of the city from the fort is impressive.Along with Amer Fort and Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh once formed a strong defence ring for the city. The fort was originally named Sudarshangarh, but it became known as Nahargarh, which means 'abode of tigers'. The view of the city from the fort is impressive.
