The Jal Mahal, the water palace that is situated in the midst of the beautiful Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur City. Jal Mahal is an exceptional structure of the Rajput culture. The palace and the lake around it were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber. A wonderful five storied building built in red sandstone.

Amer, formerly known as the capital of the state before Jaipur, holds a rich history. Built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, this old fort is now popularly referred to as Amer Palace and Fort. Made with red sandstone and marble, it exudes grandeur and is enhanced by the presence of Maotha Lake nearby. The combination creates a charming ambiance that adds to its allure.

Another must-see spot is Panna Meena ka Kund ( PANNA MEENA STEPWELL ), a unique square-shaped stepwell with stairs on all four sides and a room on the northern wall. This structure holds religious significance as it was used for ceremonies before weddings or during festivals. Although not the largest in Rajasthan, Panna Meena ka Kund is definitely worth a visit for its historical and cultural value.
