The Punta del Este Lighthouse is located on the Atlantic Ocean coast in Punta del Este, Maldonado Department, Uruguay. It was built in 1860. It is a cylindrical masonry tower with a dome with radial red and white stripes and white buildings 25 meters high at the base. Materials from Europe were used for its construction.

The Church of La Candelaria or Parish of Santa María de la Candelaria is the most important Catholic church in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Located on the peninsula, it is an important center of worship year-round. So much so that the diocese with jurisdiction over this church was named the Diocese of Maldonado and Punta del Este.
