The road of the Kasbahs A very nice trip that gathers history and nature at the same time, you’ll have to visit the Glaoui Kasbah and Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, you will also be crossing some high mountains, the most spectacular pass in the country. At 07:am the tour starts we cross the Tichka Pass which is the highest one in the kingdom 2260 m of elevation, afterwards we leave the main road towards Telouet, a berber village situated 20 km between the mountains, and of course the road there will be stretcher but the site is worth to be visited by people looking for some cultural information; once you get there you can see some confusing sceneries since the Kasbah seems to be in ruins from outside and very luxurious from inside ,it was built during the 19th century by the wealthy and powerful Glaoui family, that was very close to the royal family at the time, it’s really reflecting the skills of the Moroccan craftsmen, and how strong that family was After this magnificent monument we start again crossing the Ounila valley; a wonderful area leading us to the second Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which was built within the 11th century by the Almoravide Commander Ali Ben Haddou ,it’s a fortified Village considered nowadays, as a world heritage and protected by the UNESCO and that serves as a location for many international movies, when we finish our tour inside, we carry on to Ouarzazate to see the Biggest movies studios in Morocco, in case you want to see where Gladiator, Cleopatra, the jewel of the Nile,.... have been made. When all the visits are done we can start back to Marrakech.
