Detailed itinerary

1

We will pick up the guest from the hotel and drive directly to the Veerabhadra Swamy Temple in Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh a remarkable 16th-century temple built during the Vijayanagara Empire by Viranna and Virupanna, governors under King Achyuta Deva Raya (the brother of Krishna Deva Raya). The temple is renowned for its intricate carvings, stunning ceiling frescoes, and the famous hanging pillar that showcases architectural brilliance.

2

Next, we will visit the Lepakshi Bull Temple, located about 200 meters from the main temple. This site features a massive monolithic statue of Nandi, Lord Shiva’s mount, carved from a single block of granite. Measuring around 20 feet high and 30 feet long, it is one of the largest Nandi statues in India and beautifully sculpted with detailed ornamentation.

3

Afterward, we proceed to Jatayu Theme Park, which honors the brave mythical bird Jatayu from the Ramayana. According to legend, this is the spot where Jatayu fell after battling Ravana to rescue Sita. The name 'Lepakshi' is said to mean 'Rise, bird!' words spoken by Lord Rama to the wounded Jatayu. The park features sculptures and themed exhibits illustrating this noble episode from the epic.

4

We will then take a break for lunch at Big Bay India | Highway Pitstop, a popular and well-maintained food court on the highway. Here, guests can enjoy an authentic, traditional South Indian vegetarian lunch served in a clean and comfortable setting. The meals are freshly prepared and include local delicacies such as sambar, rasam, curd rice, and a variety of seasonal vegetables served with rice and crispy papad, offering a wholesome taste of southern hospitality.

5

Our final stop will be the Isha Foundation Center in Chikkaballapur, home to the majestic 112-foot bust of Adiyogi Shiva recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest bust sculpture. Established by spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, this serene center is a space for inner well-being, yoga, and meditation. Surrounded by scenic hills, the Adiyogi statue symbolizes the source of yoga and serves as an inspiring spiritual landmark in Karnataka.

After this enriching day, we will drive back and drop the guest at the hotel.
