This is a Off-Road Tour to the west side of the island of São Miguel. On this tour you will have the unique opportunity to go literally on the "Rim of the Volcano" through the fun off-road path of Caminho da Cumeeira where one of the highlights is the stoppage at Pico da Cruz, a high point where you will have panoramic views above the wonderful crater and of several lakes of Sete Cidades. You will also have the opportunity to visit the picturesque & rural parish of Sete Cidades, the Twin Lakes, the tunnel, the arches bridge and the Neogothic style church of São Nicolau. Throughout the tour you will have also the chance to appreciate several other scenic views such as Pico do Carvão viewpoint, "Nove Janelas" wall, Cumeeiras lookout, Cerrado das Freiras viewpoint & many others with photo stops. This is a jeep tour that offers better and panoramic views. We will use alternative roads and show the best locations and hidden spots, which makes of it a unique and memorable experience.

Stoppage for observation of an old aqueduct of Roman style arquitecture covered by moss which supplied water to Ponta Delgada in the past. This high wall has the particularity of having nine windows.

Cumeeiras Viewpoint opposite to the Vista do Rei with stop. On this place you will have the opportunity to enjoy the panoramic views of the twin lakes, Blue and Green literally on the ridge of the crater.

Center of the Parish of Sete Cidades for 15/30 minutes for rest, walk, coffee, toilets and optional visit to the neo-Gothic style Church of São Nicolau;

Cerrado das Freiras Viewpoint with stop
"Vista do Rei" viewpoint with stop. This is another highlight of the tour. This viewpoint name, "The King´s view" was given because in the summer of 1901, King D. Carlos I and Queen D. Amélia visited it. Offers a stunning view over the Sete Cidades crater, with the twin lakes as a backdrop. At the same place is located also an abandoned 5 stars hotel, which worked for just 1 year between 1989 and 1990 ruins.
