At 7:30 am, you will be picked up privately from Xishu Garden Inn. Your private driver will take you to the Chengdu Giant Panda Research and Breeding Center first, which is one of the most popular attractions in Chengdu. Pandas are more active in the morning during their feeding time. We will spend approximately 3 hours there. You will have the opportunity to see pandas of different ages, from infants to sub-adults, adults, and even senior pandas. One of the most impressive things to witness here is the adorable pandas engaging in various funny movements while they eat and play. Make sure to have your camera ready!
After visiting the pandas, you will head to the Leshan Giant Buddha. Along the way, you will be able to enjoy the beautiful countryside landscape of the western Chengdu Plains. When you arrive in Leshan city, you will have a delicious Sichuan-style lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, you will make your way to Linyun Mountain, where the Leshan Giant Buddha is located. The Leshan Giant Buddha is the largest cliff-carved Buddha statue in a sitting position, standing at a towering height of 71 meters. You will have the option to either hike in the Giant Buddha park for 3 hours or take a boat tour to admire the Giant Buddha for 0.5 hours. If you choose to hike in the park, you will be able to walk along the zig-zagging path that leads to the foot of the Giant Buddha statue. Alternatively, you can choose the easier option of seeing the Buddha from a boat.
In the afternoon, drive back to Xishu Garden Inn.
