Your first stopover is on the eastern shore of the lake and hosts one of the few lighthouses in Austria.

Continuing on to the town of RUST, with its picturesque old town area, gives you the opportunity to explore its eventful history and diverse wine and restaurant options on your own. Walk past the listed facades of the town houses from the 16th to 19th centuries and take the opportunity to watch the numerous nesting storks between March and August.
Stop at one of the small, local wineries for a wine tasting, discover the culinary specialties such as apricot dumplings, apple strudel or other regional dishes. Visit one of the oldest churches with frescoes from the 12th century.

The last stop on your little journey is the "Historic Cellar Lane" in Purbach. Built in 1850, the square is now a meeting place for connoisseurs and all those who want to experience the Burgenland lifestyle to the fullest. For culinary delights on the plate, stop off at one of the numerous wine taverns and restaurants on the picturesque square.
